We think that a knighthood for Gareth Edwards is long overdue. We're now calling on the Welsh public to get behind our campaign to demand that the man many believe to be the greatest rugby player of all time, be duly recognized with the greatest honour.

For many, Gareth Edwards is quite simply the best rugby player of all time. The complete player, his natural athleticism was matched by an intuitive rugby brain. His 53 caps were won in succession over ten years - a world record - and in those games he would only taste defeat fifteen times; he never had a dip in form or an injury that would allow anybody else to take his place. Edwards was the ultimate finisher, blessed with extreme pace, married with strength, agility and guile.
